Ingredients:
1. 4 tomatoes (finely chopped)
2. 1/4 cup chopped onion
3. 1 tsp chopped garlic
4. 1 tsp chili powder
5. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
6. 1 tsp ginger powder or paste
7. 4 tbsp chopped cilantro
8. 1 tsp roasted black seeds and cumin seeds combined
9. 3 to 4 tbsp mustard oil or canola oil
10.2 to 3 green chili
11. 1/2 tsp salt or more
12. 2 pinch of roasted fennel seeds (optional)
13. 1 cup water
14.1 tsp lemon juice
Directions:
Step 1:
In a hot saucepan ,add oil then saute onion and garlic till it gets lightly golden brown.
Step 2:
Now add all the ingredients except lemon juice and green chili.Mix properly,check the salt.Cook it in medium to low heat for 15 to 20 minutes.You can see at one point the tomato will be melted with the spices.In the end, add green chili and lemon juice.This dish is used as a side dish.
Bengali style mashed Tomato is ready to eat.Serve with white rice or Bengali naughty people's rice.
