Bengali Style Small Long Fish Curry (Kajli Fish Curry)

This recipe is very easy to make and good for people with hypothyroid problem. I don't have the English name of this fish But it looks like the image below. We call it "Kajli fish" available at any bengali grocery store in the frozen section. It was already cleaned and descaled.

Prep Time:15 Minutes
Cook time: 10-15 Minutes

Ingredients:
1 pound small long fish/ Kajli Fish 
2 cups chopped onion
4 to 5  garlic cloves (chopped)
1 tsp salt or more
1/4 cup  oil
2-4 green chili
Few chopped cilantro
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp ginger powder
No water

Directions:
After opening the package, add 1 tbsp salt,mix properly and leave the fishes  for 30 minutes. Then clean it with cold water for 2 to 3 times. It's very easy to clean.
  • After cleaning ,place all the ingredients in a wok or pan.
  • Mix properly and check the salt, add more if u feel so.
  • Cover the lid and cook for 10 to 12 minutes on  low heat.
  • Stir 1 to 2 times in between so that it does not get burnt on bottom.

Bengali style Small long Fish curry (Kajli fish curry) is ready to serve with hot rice.
