Home Remedy for Hypothyroidism:

1.Taking adequate quantities of milk can help in preventing goitre. Also rice, barley, Bengal gram, moong dal and cucumber are recommended for patients suffering from goitre. People with hypothyroidism should  avoid heavy and sour foods.

Iodine - Iodine levels can be increased by including natural sources of iodine in the diet like yoghurt, fish, meat, eggs, seafood, potato, parsley, radish, bananas, oatmeal and salt. If you prefer less salt in your food then kelp supplements can also be used after taking a confirmation from your specialist.

I have been taking egg, milk, banana, lentils everyday but still I am feeling very exhausted.May be I am not eating any organic foods. When I was in Bangladesh ,I was having organic foods everyday, cus in Bangladesh only organic foods and vegetables available , no genetically produced or refined or hydrogenated food are found in Bangladesh.I was not feel tired like this.Or may be I  am getting old. I am 30.

Recently I have been searching  for best cooking oil(I am using canola oil),I got shocked that canola oil is genetically produced ,refined and hydrogenated which is a slow toxic for health.Canola  oil is derived from genetically produced rapeseed.During 2nd world war, rapeseed oil  was used as a lubricant in mills and factory.Later on,another type of  plant was genetically produced from rapeseed for making cooking oil. Many people who have those symptoms says that one shall replace their any type of refined, chemically processed , and hydrogenated  oil with 100% organic extra virgin oil or real butter.

I know some people argue with my views. They might say  that canola oil has omega 3 no trans fat or less saturated fat but the fact is if  its 100% organic, non refined , non hydrogenated then go for it .If you search for organic canola , you will find its very expensive.SO you are consuming refined, chemically processed and hydrogenated canola oil, that   is a slow toxic and less expensive , you might not feel its consequences immediately but over time you will face all the symptoms that I have mentioned in this blog. You have to spend tons of money on your doctors,on medicine ,on insurance. So, its better you replace your oil.

But it depends on the individuals, if you feel comfortable ,then go for it .NO HARD FEELING.

Selenium - This is  low in most of the people who have  hypothyroid. Selenium acts as a catalyst in the conversion of T4 thyroid hormone to its active T3 form.  Button mushrooms, cod, tuna, shrimp, snapper, salmon and halibut have got selenium. Before starting any selenium or other herbal supplements consult your specialist for correct dosage and guidance.

Tyrosine - Tyrosine is needed by the body to manufacture thyroid hormones from iodine, it  helps in the production of thyroid hormones. Protein containing foods like fish, lean meat, dairy products, wheat and oats can be included in the diet for tyrosine.

Get going - It is important to increase your activity level as along with dealing with weight loss, exercise will also help boost metabolism and immune function.

2.Herbs that are found useful in treatment of thyroid disorders include Kanchanara, Jatamansi, Shilajita, Brahmi guggulu, gokshura, and punarnava.Where to find these herbs, the answer  is  to search the Google search machine or Amazon.com.

3.Taking 1 drops of Liquid Iodine from Organic Dulse Iodine   (Potassium Iodate Bioavailability) in a glass of 8 ounce water 2 times per day is useful. When I came to know about it ,I bought that from net and taking it for last 3 days. Still waiting for the result.

4.Coconut oil which contains medium chain fatty acids which help in improving body metabolism,   is good for those suffering from thyroid disorders.

That's why I ordered a 100% extra virgin organic coconut cooking oil. Some people refers  that to get rid of tiredness, people shall replace their cooking oil with coconut oil and real butter (made from milk).I know it sounds unhealthy but these are healthy ones.

 Foods to Avoid:

Certain foods, known as goitrogenic, although the thyroid inhibiting effect is largely inactivated by cooking, eating large portions of these goitrogens is not recommended. Avoid eating these foods raw altogether.

These foods include cabbage, cauliflower, turnip, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, rutabaga, radishes, kale, millet and soy. Although the thyroid inhibiting effect is largely inactivated by cooking, eating large portions of these goitrogens is not recommended. Avoid eating these foods raw altogether.
