Tomato Rice (Spicy)

Cook time: 30 Minutes


Ingredients: 3 cups chopped  red tomatoes (use juicy, flavored ones)3 cups Basmati Rice or any other rice ( sock in water for 30 minutes and drain the water)
1/2 cup Green peas
1 tbsp Ginger paste

1 tbsp Garlic Paste1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp biriyani masala powder
1 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder (optional)
 6 or 7 garlic cloves
4 Cloves
2 Cardamom

2 Bay leaf
5 cups water

1 cup chopped onion (thinly sliced)
2 tbsp salt
Cilantro for garnish
2 or 3 green chili (optional)
1 butter stick


Direction:

In a large pan add  buter, when its hot, add onion and all the spices ,saute until they are golden brown. Add the tomatoes and the green peas, saute for a few minutes.

Now add rice and cook it for 20 to 25 min. until its done.Serve hot with chicken.
